Section 01
Prohibited content in listings
The following content may not be listed on SudoSell:
- Malware, viruses, ransomware, keyloggers, rootkits, RATs, or any code designed to compromise systems or data without informed consent.
- Tools whose primary purpose is unauthorized access (account takeover kits, password crackers framed for offensive use, credential stuffers).
- Phishing kits, scam page generators, fake-storefront templates.
- Tools that automate unauthorized scraping of services in violation of those services’ terms.
- Cheats, exploits, or anti-anti-cheat tools for online games or services.
- Content depicting child sexual abuse material (CSAM), or any sexual content involving minors. Reported to law enforcement immediately.
- Content that incites violence, terrorism, or genocide.
- Cryptocurrency miners shipped without explicit user consent.
- Tools to defeat digital rights management or copy protection in jurisdictions where doing so is illegal.
- Listings for products you do not own the IP to.
- Tools to circumvent academic, election, or financial integrity (essay-mill code, vote-tampering tools, market-manipulation bots).
Section 02
Conditional categories: admin review
The following are permitted only after specific approval:
- Trading bots and automated trading tools. Must include risk disclosure on the product page; backtesting claims must be reproducible.
- Scrapers. Allowed only when the target site explicitly permits programmatic access or the data is public and non-personal. The product page must list compatible target sites.
- Penetration testing / security tooling. Allowed when defensively framed and intended for authorized testing. Offensive-only framing is rejected.
- Adult-oriented content. Currently not accepted on SudoSell.
- AI/ML models. Must disclose training data sources and any third-party-licensed weights.
Section 03
Prohibited buyer behavior
- Reselling or redistributing source code as a stand-alone item.
- Listing a purchased product on a competing marketplace under your name.
- Reverse-engineering protected modules in violation of the seller’s license.
- Using purchased products to attack, defraud, or harm third parties.
- Harassing or doxxing sellers or other users.
- Filing fraudulent chargebacks (chargebacks for products that worked as advertised and were downloaded successfully).
- Creating multiple accounts to evade bans, refund limits, or rate limits.
Section 04
Prohibited seller behavior
- False or misleading product descriptions.
- Including hidden tracking, telemetry, or remote-kill switches without disclosure.
- Locking access to features that the product page advertised as included.
- Retaliating against reviewers or buyers who escalate disputes.
- Discriminating against buyers based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, or other protected characteristics.
- Using SudoSell to redirect transactions off-platform after capturing the lead.
- Manipulating reviews via fake purchases, paid reviews, or coercion.
Section 05
Platform abuse
- Scraping the SudoSell catalog beyond the rate-limit posted in our documentation.
- Probing the platform for security vulnerabilities outside our (forthcoming) responsible disclosure program.
- Attempting to bypass authentication, rate limits, or paywalls.
- Submitting fraudulent seller applications.
- Abuse of any free-tier feature (e.g. mass coupon enumeration).
Suspected vulnerabilities should be reported through the security disclosure form rather than exploited; we operate in good faith with researchers who do the same.
Section 06
Enforcement
Depending on severity, we may take any of the following actions:
- Warn the user and ask for remediation within a stated timeframe.
- Take down a specific listing or review.
- Suspend an account temporarily.
- Permanently terminate the account.
- Report to law enforcement, sanctions bodies, or fraud-prevention partners where warranted.
Where we take action, we notify the user with a reason. Sellers may appeal once via the appeals form within 14 days.
Section 07
Reporting violations
Spotted a violation? File an abuse report with the URL or product slug, the rule violated, and any evidence. We do not share reporter identity with the reported party except where required by law.
